# Delete a schedule

> Remove a schedule permanently, in any state.

Permanently remove a [schedule](/docs/api-reference/agentscheduleservice/create-a-new-schedule) from an agent.

<CodeGroup>
  ```typescript TypeScript theme={null}
  await client.agents.schedules.delete(agentId, scheduleId, { workspaceId });
  ```

  ```go Go theme={null}
  err := client.Agents.Schedules.Delete(ctx, agentID, scheduleID,
  	cadenya.AgentScheduleDeleteParams{WorkspaceID: cadenya.String(workspaceID)})
  ```

  ```ruby Ruby theme={null}
  cadenya.agents.schedules.delete(agent_id, schedule_id, workspace_id: workspace_id)
  ```

  ```bash cURL theme={null}
  curl -X DELETE "https://api.cadenya.com/v1/workspaces/${WORKSPACE_ID}/agents/${AGENT_ID}/schedules/${SCHEDULE_ID}" \
    -H "Authorization: Bearer ${CADENYA_API_KEY}"
  ```
</CodeGroup>

Delete works in any state, active, paused, or archived, so you do not have to pause or archive first. It removes the schedule's definition and stops any future fires. Objectives it already created are their own resources and are untouched, find them by filtering the [objective list](/docs/api-reference/objectiveservice/list-objectives) on `agentScheduleId`.

Delete when you want the schedule gone. Reach for [archive](/docs/api-reference/agentscheduleservice/archive-a-schedule) instead when you want to stop it but keep the record.
